3 Reasons to Escape the City

Posted in by on June 17, 2015 and has no comments yet

Some people absolutely love the fast paced life of living in the city, it’s a world away from this part of the UK where many visit to escape the hustle and bustle, enjoying peace and quiet just for a few days. A break from everyday life is good for us and here’s 3 reasons why an escape from the city to our hotel in Hampshire is a great idea!

You can go for a swim in the sea

You’re just a short drive away from dipping your toes into the cool, fresh Atlantic Ocean. Careys Manor is situated just a few miles from both the Hampshire and Dorset coastlines, famous for some of the best beaches in the world!

Forget the Urban Fox – it’s all about the Wild Horses!

Whilst you can’t escape Fantastic Mr Fox and his family, there are other wild animals wandering freely through the charming New Forest villages such as pigs, ponies, donkeys and cows. During late spring and summer you’ll be fortunate enough to see the idyllic baby foals with their proud mothers grazing through the forest and don’t get us started on how gorgeous baby donkeys are. Filled with character and just generally cute and fluffy, these guys are arguably the sweetest of them all.

Walk for miles and miles… if you want to.

The New Forest is home to the most extensive area of heathland in Europe so you can walk to your heart’s content. It’s beautiful, it’s peaceful and there’s not a car, bus or train in sight. You will however have a chance to admire the beautiful flora and fauna of the forest, come across the occasional pet dog with its owner and quaint little villages that appear almost out of nowhere – perfect for a stop off at the local pub.
