Designed to celebrate excellence in hospitality and tourism throughout the South East, the Beautiful South Awards are the highlight of the year for businesses across the region. This year, over 300 representatives from across the South were invited to enjoy a wonderful three course meal at a black tie event hosted by Heart Breakfast’s Nicola Hume.
Careys Manor Hotel, shortlisted in the highly competitive Business Tourism category for the third consecutive year, stood out for its impressive facilities, its unrivalled customer service and the unique packages offered by the hotel. Judges commented:
“The staff built good rapport asking me about the day and they were particularly interested in what I wanted to achieve from the event. They showed an interest in the business and what we were going to be doing. I was acknowledged by other team members when they passed by. The event manager followed up my visit and I felt that they dealt with my enquiry positively and personally.”
With an ethos centred on understanding individual business needs and excellence in customer service, the corporate events team has implemented a plan of development throughout 2015. This has included the introduction of free, superfast wifi, ideal for delegates and business owners alike, while making it the only hotel in the forest with such a service. For 2016 the hotel has re-developed a 10 acre event field onsite which can be used for a huge array of team building events such as team challenge tasks, country pursuits, some motorised activities or even group/family fun days and BBQ’s in the summer months.
