Rachel & Paul October 2013 Wedding at Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa
“We had the best day!”. Rachel & Paul
He proposed while we were on holiday in New York.
The Wedding Dress
I wore a strapless, white, fitted dress with beaded detail to top, by Romanitica of Devon
The Groom’s Outfit
The Groom hired his suit from Moss Bros, it was a dark navy suit with tails, a cream waistcoat with swirl detailing and cream extras to finish.
My bridesmaids were my best friends Alex and Alice, they both wore knee length, floating navy dresses from Monsoon.
Our ceremony was held in the hotel lounge. We used the chairs from the wedding breakfast, in order to have the white covers and navy sashes. We chose to have a traditional ceremony, which included a reading by one of my bridesmaids.
Our reception was held in the cedar suite, we chose traditional decorations with tall flower displays on the guest table and a long display on top table.
We had mixed sweets on all of the tables for guests to pick at during speeches, they went down very well.
For the flowers we chose white lilies and blue hydrangea with leaves and grasses. This matched our overall décor of white and navy throughtout. It was fairly traditional but with our own touches, for example, the ‘quotes’ that were placed around the venue and the sweets on all the tables during the wedding breakfast.
How do you feel the day went?
We had the best day! We had amazing acoustic music by Lucas Raye to keep guests entertained during the drinks reception, and then the resident DJ as the host for the rest of the day which kept everything running smoothly.
My only disappontment was that Francoise, our Wedding Coordinator on the day was only there until the start of the ceremony as she had to get to a wedding fair in London.
What particular memories stand out for you?
For us, the amazing Best Man speech…..he had everyone laughing and you just didn’t know what was coming next! For more information about weddings at Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa, please contact our Wedding Coordinator Françoise Gysemans on 01590 625204 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
