The Rutting Season has arrived and visitors to the forest are being warned to watch out for our Ruminant friends as things can at times get a little out of hand!
The Rut is the mating season for deer, sheep, goats and more. The males clash by rubbing their antlers or horns on trees to fight each other in the name of love (of some kind!). It’s a truly fascinating sight if you’re fortunate enough to witness it.
We love this time of year because of the exciting things going on including the Pannage season and the Pony Drifts.
